Community guidelines

Share what helps. Treat people with care. Make opportunities easier to find and understand.

Share useful, accurate information

Link to the original source when sharing an opportunity. Explain what it offers and what others should know. Make it clear when you are resharing rather than representing an organisation.

Check deadlines and eligibility. If details change, edit your post or suggest a correction. Say when something is uncertain.

Watch out for scams and hidden fees

Do not post scams, fake opportunities, misleading guarantees, or requests for payment in exchange for guaranteed selection. Disclose known application fees and any connection you have to an organisation or offer.

Never collect passwords, sign-in codes, payment-card details, or sensitive documents through posts or comments. Use original application sites and check their authenticity before submitting information.

Respect people, including when you disagree

Challenge ideas without attacking people. Harassment, hate speech, threats, and discriminatory abuse are not welcome. Keep replies helpful and relevant.

Protect privacy

Do not share another person’s private contact details, addresses, conversations, or documents without permission. Remove sensitive information from screenshots.

A pseudonym is welcome. Displaying a country is optional; nobody needs to disclose personal information to join a conversation.

Avoid spam and manipulation

Do not flood the feed with duplicates, unrelated promotions, or misleading tags. Do not coordinate fake likes, comments, reports, or corrections to gain Stars or target another member.

Help correct problems

Use Suggest a correction for factual updates to an opportunity. Use Report on posts or comments for suspected scams, abuse, or other guideline breaches. Reporting your own content is not needed; edit or delete it instead.

Moderators review reports and may hide content or reverse rewards for misuse. A report does not automatically remove content, and review notes stay private. A listing appearing here is not an endorsement or a guarantee.

How Stars work

Stars recognise useful contributions confirmed by other members. Everyone starts at 0.

How you earn them

Star rewards for confirmed contributions
ContributionStars
Your post reaches 5 / 20 / 50 eligible likes+2 / +5 / +10
Your post reaches 3 / 10 distinct eligible commenters+2 / +5
The post author applies your correction+5
A moderator resolves your report as valid+3

Applies to opportunities and discussions. Each milestone is awarded once, and rewards add up. Repeated comments by the same person count as one commenter.

Why might I still have 0?

Posting or commenting alone does not earn Stars. Other members need to confirm your help.

Likes and commenters count only when their accounts are at least 7 days old. Corrections earn Stars when the author applying them has an account at least 7 days old.

You can receive Stars as a new member. Visible like counts can include newer accounts that do not qualify for awards. Your own likes and comments do not count toward your milestones, and hidden or deleted comments do not count.

Keeping it fair

You can earn up to 50 Stars per UTC day. Applied corrections can earn up to 10 Stars from the same author per calendar month.

A post hidden by a moderator costs 10 Stars; restoring it refunds that penalty once. Moderators can reverse awards for misuse.

Stars and Cowries

Stars are earned reputation and cannot be bought or spent. Cowries are a separate balance for optional extras. Spending Cowries does not increase your Stars.
